The Hidden Resort “Poracay”
This is the first time I have tried one of our local resorts here in Pampanga, The Poracay Hidden Resort. Why is it hidden? From the city proper of Angeles City, you need to travel through a rough road leading to the resort and also a place where trucks that gather sands and rocks for construction. At first, when I heard “Poracay” sounded cheesy for me, it’s a rip-off name from a famous island “Boracay”. Upon arriving at the resort it really surprised me how organize their receiving area, and also on how they greeted their customers with live bands and tribal dance. They really captured the “fiesta” feel or better yet the theme of “More Fun in the Philippines”. I was wondering what else can I do in Poracay aside from swimming, so I grabbed my camera and took a short stroll around the resort.
You may try their 500m zip line that crosses their pools and a man-made lake.
You can also rent a boat for kayaking on their man-made lake.
They also have regular shows every weekend at their event center. They have bands, dancers, and even comedians.
If you are hungry and didn’t bring any food with you, they also have food stalls around the resort.
And if you just wanted to walk around check the place, you can go outside the resort and do a photoshoot maybe landscape photography or whatever you like.
How to get there?
From Marquee Mall, you can ride a jeepney going to Jenra Mall (Santo Rosario St, Angeles City) and then ride a tricycle to Poracay Resort.
